Who we are
Reignite Digital is a website studio operated by Elliot Westlake as a sole trader, based in the South of England. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean Reignite Digital. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at hello@reignite.digital.
The data we collect
We keep the data we collect to the minimum we need:
- Enquiry details. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, the message you send and, if you choose to give it, your business name.
- Technical data. Like any website, our host receives standard request information such as your IP address and browser type. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Usage data. We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that records aggregated page views. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not track you across other sites. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who get in touch.
- To run and secure the website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure site.
- To understand how the site is used, where you have opted in to analytics. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the studio, acting on our instructions as processors:
- Vercel hosts the website and provides the cookieless analytics.
- Resend delivers the email generated by our contact form to our inbox.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it. Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by an appropriate safeguard such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we are in conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, and then delete them. Technical and aggregated usage data is short-lived and is not tied to you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of your data, or withdraw consent you have given;
- ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider.
To exercise any of these, email hello@reignite.digital and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page.
